Makoto Maruyama 丸山真: I was in the midst of developing international performance art movement. In brief, I have been performing 03 to 07 with NIPAF (Nippon International Performance Art Festival). I have visited to Taiwan, UK, Northern Ireland, Vietnam, Myanmar (Burma), Singapore, Chile, Argentine, Uruguay and China with NIPAF to make the performance works. I met a lot of young and old artists. Education: 96 I have graduated from Nagano High School. As a student, I made some poems and have been making the small magazines with my friends. 00-01 After graduated the French literary major of Aichi University, I have studied contemporary art under Noboru Tubaki and Fumihiro Nonomura at IMI (Inter Medium Institute) in Osaka and also studied Butoh dance under Tenko Ima during 1 year. 08 August, Blue Sky Project 2008 (Group exhibition, Takada, Niigata, Japan). December, X-change 2008 (Residency program, Lombok Island, Indonesia). 10 June, Performance Art Tour; International Performance Art Festival - Friction (Uppsala, Sweden, organized by SU-EN), Last Minute Performance (Krakow, Poland), ArtEvict (London, UK)
